Alain Stéphane K., débrouillard de 41 ans, a tenté sa chance aux cartes vendredi dernier, espérant gagner de quoi bien accueillir les enfants que sa compagne mettait au monde le même jour.

Alain Stéphane K., 41 ans, vivant de jobs, est père de jumeaux mixtes depuis vendredi dernier. Mais il n’a vu ni la fille, ni le garçon, lui qui est porté disparu le jour même de leur naissance. Autre disparition, liée à l’évaporation de « Tagni », celle de la layette des enfants. Engloutie dans une affaire de « njambo » qui poussera la grand-mère maternelle des nouveau-nés à appeler la gendarmerie.

 

Selon les informations obtenues par CT, Alain Stéphane est en couple avec Rose, coiffeuse trentenaire, et les deux habitent Makèpè, dans l’arrondissement de Douala V. Enceinte des œuvres de son compagnon, Rose a financé ses visites prénatales. Le « gars » a payé pour l’échographie et un scanner. Le couple le savait donc : des jumeaux étaient en route.

La layette a été préparée en conséquence. Cela dit, Alain Stéphane est accro aux jeux de hasard. Le bonhomme joue régulièrement aux cartes dans un de ces Bépanda dont le complément de nom ne peut être mentionné ici. Jeudi matin, il revient du « Ter » (lieu où on joue aux cartes, selon le jargon du milieu) avec un gain de 50.000 F. Somme remise à Rose, qui est à terme. Le même jeudi en soirée, Alain Stéphane vient lui tourner autour, demandant 10.000 F de cet argent. Ce que la future parturiente refuse, connaissant le bonhomme. Vendredi matin, sentant venir la perte des eaux, la jeune femme demande à sa soeur Régine de l’accompagner à l’hôpital – une formation sanitaire à Bépanda. Alain Stéphane est informé par téléphone. Revenu à la maison, le débrouillard se serait dit que c’était le bon moment de gagner gros. Afin d’accueillir ses bébés comme un boss. Mais pour jouer, il faut pouvoir miser. On suppose que le papa imminent n’avait rien en poche. D’après ce que ses compagnons de jeu expliqueront à Régine, il a d’abord débarqué avec une bassine, l’a misée et perdue. Dans « chaleur » (autre expression du milieu traduisant l’attitude de celui qui, ayant perdu de l’argent, perd tous ses moyens et perd le contrôle), Alain Stéphane est reparti chercher l’ensemble de la layette des jumeaux. Il a tout misé, il a tout perdu. Désormais « mis à l’aise » (encore une expression de « njambistes » : celui qui n’a plus rien à perdre s’affaisse dans une tranquille résignation, et peut devenir momentanément philosophe), le bonhomme est encore au jeu quand Régine l’appelle. « Rose a bien accouché ! Va dans la layette, tu prends (…) et tu apportes ». Le nouveau papa dit : « J’ai compris ». Mais là, il est maintenant : Onze devant onze « (comprenez : dans une impasse, sans solution). Alain Stéphane a alors disparu. Et demeure injoignable. L’histoire s’est propagée dans son quartier, quelques habitants ont procédé à une « main levée » pour les jumeaux.

Douala – Makèpè: The twins’ layette lost gambling

Thursday morning, he came back from the « Ter » (a place where cards are played, according to the jargon of that world) with winnings of 50,000 FCFA. A sum handed over to Rose, who was at term. That same Thursday evening, Alain Stéphane came hovering around her, asking for 10,000 FCFA from that money. Which the expectant mother refused, knowing the man. Friday morning, feeling her water about to break, the young woman asked her sister Régine to accompany her to the hospital – a health facility in Bépanda. Alain Stéphane was informed by phone. Back home, the hustler reportedly told himself it was the right time to win big. To welcome his babies like a boss. But to play, you have to be able to bet. It is assumed the soon-to-be father had nothing in his pocket. According to what his fellow players would explain to Régine, he first showed up with a basin, bet it and lost it. In « chaleur » (another expression from that milieu translating the attitude of someone who, having lost money, loses all self-control), Alain Stéphane went back to get the entire layette for the twins. He bet it all, he lost it all. Now « mis à l’aise » [made comfortable] (yet another expression of « njambistes »: he who has nothing left to lose slumps into quiet resignation, and can become momentarily philosophical), the man was still at the game when Régine called him. « Rose has delivered safely! Go to the layette, take (…) and bring it ». The new dad said: « I understood ». But there, he was now: « Eleven against eleven » (understand: in a dead end, with no way out). Alain Stéphane then disappeared. And remains unreachable. The story spread through his neighborhood, some residents organized a whip-round for the twins.

Tu dois faire ton choix car le choix ne se fait pas après la mort mais étant vivant et conscient (Heb 9v27).

 

Comprend que Dieu t’aime et voudrais que tu l’acceptes comme ton Dieu et Jésus comme ton Seigneur et sauveur personnel pour hériter la vie éternelle. (Jn 14v1-3)
